Alright, Wii users. Just out of curiousity, what games are you most hoping will be there Monday at midnight one of these days for you to play in glorious retro glory? What games from your childhood (or games you never got to play) would you most like to see available for download that haven't ben put on the Virtual Console yet?
The ten games I'd be most likely to download the second they came online in rough order:
Yoshi's Island
My absolute favorite game for the SNES and one of my favorite games of all time. Amazing gameplay, a great sound track and some of the most artistically beautiful visuals a console has ever produced. It's the reason I downloaded an emulator, and I've played it on ZSNES, but it's just not the same. The graphics are flawed, the sound is flawed, the controller sucks. I would love to play it again properly and with the great classic controller.
Super Metroid
I didn't play this game until about two years ago on an emulator, unfortunately. Additionally, it's a hard ROM to find and when I got a new computer my games didn't transfer over properly, so I don't even have it anymore. It was great, but I'd love to play it more like it was intended to be played.
Earthbound
I've heard so much about how great Earthbound is, but it's so hard to find. I'll definitely give it a spin whenever it comes out on VC.
Metroid
I played the bonus Metroid on Metroid Prime, but the controller didn't work very well for it and I've long since lost the save files, and my GBA. So, like Super Metroid, the VC would be my best way to play it. And, unlike Super Metroid, I never even beat it.
Mario RPG
Pretty much the same thing as Super Metroid. I played it for the first time at about the same time on my emulator, and it was pretty bad quality. I'd like to play it again.
Earthworm Jim
I loved Earthworm Jim 2, but I never played the first one.
Earthworm Jim 2
Like I said, I loved this game. Enough that I'd gladly play it again.
Banjo-Kazooie
One of my single favoritest games ever. And since I don't have an N64 anymore, I'd be downloading it in a heart beat.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
That was the one with Tails, right? I remember it being a better game. I want it.
Super Mario Bros. 3
I don't love this game as much as everyone else seems to, but I like it enough to download it. It's certainly a game I wish was in my humble little library.
Honestly I'm over VC. Since getting my 360 I'm much more interested in at least updating the classic stuff. It's just too bad that less than 1 week and I'm red ringing.
If I had to choose though....Yoshi's Island is one that I could play again.

I'd more than like to see some original content..
That said, there is the Wii version of Impossible Mission which will be the first non-VC Wii Shop game..
But sticking to topic I'd like to see some Japan only games translated to English for the Wii VC..
One game has already done this: Battle Load Runner (TG-16).
Others that would be totally sweet:
Sweet Home (NES Japan only, very good fan translation out there)
Snatcher (Sega CD, there is talk of a sequal of some sort for the Wii)
Nights (Saturn, Wii is confirmed to get the sequal already)
Castlevania 3 (NES, this is one of the best old school Castlevanias, my fave)
Super Metroid (SNES, totally agree)
Super Punch Out (SNES, Why aren't there any new ones today?!?!)
GoldenEye (N64, totally missed out on this one)
Mario Party (N64, and sequals also on N64)
Any other one with 4 players (hey, huge multiplayer party games are great!)
Any one with a built in editor..
The ones I have now: Mario Kart 64, StarFox 64, Excitebike, Toejam and Earl, Dungeon Explorer, Bomberman 93, and Battle Load Runner
So far I've got: The Legend of Zelda; A Link to the Past; Super Mario Bros; Super Mario World; Super Mario 64; Punchout!!; Star Fox 64; Mario Kart 64; Kirby's Adventure; Super Ghouls n' Ghosts; Sonic the Hedgehog; Bomberman '93; Donkey Kong Country
The only one I've regretted downloading in Mario Kart. I had a serious hankering for it one day, but hankerings aren't worth ten bucks when you already have Double Dash. Kirby's been the best surprise. I hated Kirby's Dreamland, and that was the only game I'd played in the series. Adventure has great reviews, though. so I thought I'd give it a shot. Glad I did.
I've got Double Dash but I didn't care for it all that much.. Mario Kart 64 just feels like a better game somehow.. Mario Kart DS is obviously the best version however..
Mario Kart DS has..
32 Tracks
13 Racers, (1 is for download play only for those without the game)
36 Karts (any racer can use any kart but you have to fully unlock everything)
Brand new Mission mode..
and also online play against 3 other people (racing only) as well as wifi play up to 8 people in racing and battle mode..
Yea, it's the best version hands down :-D
Anyways.. back to topic!
I forgot about Mario Kart 64's one major problem: The AI cheats A LOT.. sometimes the AI gets glitched up as well to the point that your rival goes so fast its impossible to catch them.. so in this way Double Dash is better as the AI doesn't cheat there like this..
I'd like to see more Turbo 16 games as that's a console I never got into.
I've never really experienced the AI cheating in MK64, actually. That's another one of my problems with it. It's once in a blue moon that I lose a race on MK64, and during Grand Prix the characters almost always finish in the same order on every race, there's no real variety, the characters seems to be slower than you and there's not much intelligence at all.
On the higher levels on Double Dash the AI is your equal in speed vehicle ability and the characters aren't pre-programmed as to who are going to be the top three every time. There's actually a chance I'll lose on DD, but I only lose on MK64 if I do something stupid.
