The first National Treasure was fun, much better then the DaVinci Code drivel. But it was at least a half hour, if not 45 minutes, too long. Pop-corn films like this really shouldn't stay much longer over the 90 minute mark.
Thats about the one big change i'd want to see with NT2, otherwise this is one of the few worthwhile sequels thats going.
To me it felt a lot like watching someone play a favorite video game of yours. I was seeing Nicholas Cage and company run around to all these locations solving puzzles to get closer to some unbelievable historic treasure, but it was all just completely boring. It made me want to grab a ticket and go to these spots I've always wanted to visit, just like one would grab a ride to the nearest mall to pick up that video game he/she were watching. But it sure didn't make me want to see National Treasure again or even for them to create a sequel.
I also feel Sean Bean will be sorely missed in this one.
Yeah, I had a great time with the first one, can't wait to see this. I wish I'd seen the first in theaters. Checked IMDb, looks like no Sean Bean... However Ed Harris and Harvey Keitel are in it, which is even better
As one who values history, I tried really hard to hate it, but I enjoyed it in spite of myself and couldn't keep from wondering what "page 47" was going to be about in NT3. 6/10
