Isn't it only like 3 episodes into the season?

Yeah but they're GREAT episodes, not Good episodes like we've had lately, and not sucking episodes either.

Yeah, less Homer being a retard, more social satire. That's why.

The Treehouse of Horror was mediocre at best. Death was the only good part of that one. I missed the second episode, and the third one was pretty damn good. But I guess that is the makings of the best Simpsons season in years.

I loved the Evita parody last week. This is definitely shaping up to be a good season for our favorite yellow satirists.

I can't stand Simpson musicals, hated last week's. The overall writing does seem to have regained some of the savy that it lost over the past couple seasons.

I like the musical episodes. Danny Elfman is a kick ass songwriter and they make a nice change of pace once in a while.

Yeah, I agree, the Simpsons has been really on an upswing lately. The last two seasons were good but seemed to be running out of steam. I'm glad they seem to be getting a second wind.

I think a good future episode would be maybe having Mayor Quimby recalled and replaced by Ranier Wolfcastle. (Naaah, who'd believe that people would replace an elected official with a monosyllabic action star? It's too far fetched!)

That's GENIUS! But that would be next season most probably because they probably had all of this season done before the whole election thing.
