Rupert's Demise

Well we all knew it was going to happen sooner or later. There was no way our beloved Rupert was going to make it to the end unless he won every single immunity and what were the odds of that?

So now we're left with Jon, Burton, Lil, Saundra, Crista, and the two chicks from Morgan...Darrah and Tijuana. Did you ever notice that they just recently aired Darrah speaking? I think because everytime she does she reinforces the stereotype of the dull, slow southern hillbilly.

Jon continues to make my skin crawl. Burton is damn fine to look at and I suppose he's not a bad guy..but there's nothing about him that makes me want to root for him.

My support is shifting to Crista and Saundra. Saundra has the biggest set of balls on that island and I love the way she tells it like it is. Go Saundra!!

I so want Sandra to go over to Jon the next morning, kick him in the balls, and throw the fishing spear on him.

"Well, go catch some fish, since you were the intelligent ones who decided to ditch the provider!"

On the upside, I did hear that they are filming an "All-Star" Survivor in the Pearl Islands right now and that Rupert is one of the contestants...

Mind you, I still want Sandra to kick Jon in the balls. Just because.

Rupert is in the All-Star one.

But this show will suck without Rupert.

I swear "Johnny Fairplay" is the dorkiest loser of all time. I would SOOOO want to punch him in the face. lol

they voted him off for a legitimate reason. They all said they knew rupert would whoop their asses.

What happened was....

Burton and Jon pulled Lil, Darrah, and Tijuana into a five person alliance and they all voted for Rupert.

Rupe lost the immunity to Burton. It was a blow-dart competition where you knocked the other guys out one by one. Rupe went out third I think...Burton got him hard and then Saundra accidentally hit his...most of the girls were having a terrible time with aim. It was a circular dartboard...color coded, etc.

Rupert trusted that Lillian was in his pocket and he shouldn't have. He thought it was going to be he, Lil, Saundra, Crista and Jon all voting for Darrah to leave and he was wrong. Jon and Lil both jumped over to Burton.

After this week Burton needs the immunities or he's next.

If Burton goes then I predict Jon will too and the next Survivor will be a woman.

no, just two people..Lil and Burton.

It was kinda rupert and his little groups fault though..they made sure everyone knew that they had absolute power. If anyone at all would be the 4th with those three, they KNOW they'd be the 1st one voted off. They had to break it up and getting rid of Rupert was the only way.

At this point though I would like Sandra to win, but other than that I don't really care..as long as Lil doesn't win..I can not stand that woman..if my kid was in her scout group, i'd be pulling them out so fast. whining backstabbing spineless witch! grrr..just watching her annoys me..i start yelling at the tv.

Wait... they bring 2 people back into the game and then let them vote off the game's best player????

Doesn't that strike anyone as extremely lame???

They are basically rigging the game to screw with the outcome.

Those people already lost and screwed up. I mean those two were OUT. They lost. Why the heck do they get a second chance??

I also think it sucked...but I want to make sure Hobbit knows how it went down.

About three eps ago at immunity challenge Jeff announces that the two tribes will be competing against a third tribe made up of ALL the people who had already been voted off. They called themselves the Outcast tribe. They were supposedly kept on another island and not given extra provisions so they continued to be at the same level of competition as the two official tribes.

Jeff tells them they are competing for immunity...if the Outcasts win the challenge they win the right to attend their own Tribal council and vote amongst themselves for two people they'd like to send back into the game. If they win the challenge that ALSO means that BOTH Drake and Morgan have lost immunity and must go to Tribal Council and vote off one player each.

If the Outcasts LOSE the competition then they're DONE. They can go home and the game stays exactly as it has always been.

Well dontcha know that those bastards WON the comp by a hair and they went and voted Burton and Lillian back into the game. They were each given immunity for the first time their tribe went to council so they were immediately thrown back out of the game.

Everyone on both teams thought it really sucked and they hated it. Savage was especially pissed.

That's very stupid.

When you tinker with the show, you pretty much ruin it.

Sometimes I think they forget that part of the appeal of the show is that it is a GAME... when there are no rules and you can just screw around with it however you want to artificially create drama that wouldn't otherwise be there, it ceases to be a reality show and ceases to be a game.

Very crappy.

But they tinker with the rules every year so the contestants don't neccesarily know what's happening next.

Rupert screwed himself by burning too bright too fast. He'll have a good shot at the all star game though. He need to not threaten folks so much though. He'll be playing against a bunch of folks who know the game inside and out next time, and that chit won't fly.

I'm bummed though that i missed this one. Kate is out of town and apparently I can't work the VCR when she is gone . Duh...

This tinkering just seems a bit more extreme is all.

The main reason I thought bringing them back was lame was because..you take two teams that have been lacking sleep and eating crap (one team practically starving) and you pit them against the outcasts who have been sleeping in real beds and eating well in the time they've been gone.

And i thought the outcasts should have had their own competition, and the top 2 winners allowed in..none of that "i'm the best candidate because.." crap.

I thought that Rupert was gonna try and form an alliance with Andrew when they merged and was surprised that he voted Andrew off. My husband says that Andrew wouldn't have aligned himself with Rupert, but I dunno..Andrew seemed to really like the guy.

I think Andrew RESPECTED Rupert, but he had to know as much as everyone what a threat Rup was.
