Foley is GOOD for TV!!!

I hope this happens.. he's a great guy!

WWE's Mick Foley May Get New Action Series Source: Variety Monday, December 1, 2003

World Wrestling Entertainment star Mick Foley, aka "Mankind," is close to partnering with writer Teddy Tenenbaum (The Dead Zone) to develop an action series at CBS.

Foley, who's also a best-selling author ("Have a Nice Day"), would play a detective in the Tampa Police Dept. who's just as ruthless as the criminals he hunts down.

CBS Productions is behind the project, along with WWE. Besides Tenenbaum, WWE's Vince and Linda McMahon, Joel Simon and Jed Blaugrund are attached.

Foley retired from active wrestling in 2000 but kept his ties with the WWE. Should the project go to series, it's likely Foley would do all of his own stunts. Tenenbaum said he'd even like to end each episode with a blooper reel.

Very nice surprise! Finally, someone I can remember from when I was a kid. It's been a long time since I've seen that sock.

I'm sorry, but I can't see Mick Foley doing drama. Sitcom, definitely. But drama?!! Nuh-uh.

Watch the end of the documentary Beyond the Mat. You can see him getting choked up watching footage of his kids watching him get his ass kicked.

Am I the only person who thinks he'd be a perfect Leatherface?

That was (sort of) what his gimmick was based on.

You should read his book, at one point they actually were gonna cal him Leatherface.....then it became The Massacist(or something to that affect)........than Mankind the Massacist(or something to that affect)....it was only when he came out on a house show for his debut match when he heard the ring announcer say "Mankind" did he actually know what his name was.....pretty funny story the way he tells it.

I saw Mr. Socko in person, Monday.

Mind you, I thought -- okay, I read about this, it's his gimmick movie, the "mandible claw" or somesuch -- but gezz, why the hell is he wearing a surgical glove, that's kinda lame?

Then, after humiliating Eric Bischoff, he pulled off the sock, and threw it to a kid in the audience. Hehe.

Socko on Prime Time!!!

It should be really interesting to see Foley as a Dick , he would be able to switch into his different personalities, and he'll be able to play dress up and get out of those famous sweats(pants) he always wears. If anyone out there ever watched the Don johnson series "Nash Bridges", remember when Stone Cold was on it, he was pretty good, and we all know that Foley can do his thing (acting)when he has to , so he should be able to make this a hit, and another thing is that with CBS showing content thats wild on their CSI shows, we should be able to hear and see ( Female WWE guest stars)some content thats Foley - riffic. So I'm all for this show!

Now that I think about it, I would like to retract my previous statement. He did do a lot of serious promos in wrestling so he could pull it off, but with his current WWE role I don't see where he could fit that in.
