Musical Memories

I've been thinking a lot lately about how strongly most of my best memories are attached to music. Thought I'd see if anyone else feels the same way.

A great musical memory for me:

When I was about 11 or 12 years old Pink Floyd's The Wall came out. My Dad has always been a huge fan of Floyd and he was just in love with that album. One of my first memories of music being something more than just background noise is of The Wall. My Dad had a really nice sound system and he'd lay on the floor of our living room with the headphones on, his eyes closed, and just listen to all the nuances of the music. At one point I either showed interest or he just wanted to share the experience because I clearly remember laying on the floor next to him with my own headphones on and being amazed and a little freaked out by what I was hearing. To this day listening to Pink Floyd gives me warm fuzzy feelings about my Dad.

I have lots more of these kinds of musical memories...if you tell yours I'll tell more of mine!

Pink Floyd is soooo great to just sit down, close your eyes, and chill to.

As for me,

Metallica - Nothing Else Matters - Excellent, but very depressing song for me. There is really no specific even that ties my life to this song, but whenever I hear it nowadays, I have to turn it off, becuase it depresses me so much.

Crazy Town - Butterfly - Fond memories from when I first met my girlfriend.

Lifehouse - Hanging By a Moment - More fond memories from when my girlfriend and I first met.

Can't really think of any other songs besides those that stick to any specific events that have happened in my life.
