Today we have some new gameplay footage and an accompanying interview that details more of the gameplay concepts for this year’s iteration.

The following footage from GTV basically reiterates what we’ve already discussed here on CB Games, regarding Smackdown vs. Raw 2008. However, one thing that GTV’s interview covers that we didn’t already cover is that the new season mode will now be fused with the general manager mode. So basically, it’s like taking EWR and tacking it onto the already spectacular SD vs. Raw season mode; your wrestler will blast through the ranks in search of super-stardom, with the Hall of Fame as your ultimate goal. Seems rather ambitious on AKI’s end of the table. Anyway, the footage is below (optimized for IE users) and Smackdown vs Raw 2008 will be available for the DS, Wii, PS2, PSP, PS3 and Xbox 360.
