Namco Bandai recently announced that the anime-fighting game, Ultimate Ninja 4 for the PS2 has officially gone gold. And while there are enough Naruto fans to instantly put pre-orders at gold selling status, thatís not what going gold means. It means Naruto fans are one step closer to playing the latest in Shonen Jumpís fighting series.

According to the press release, After two and a half years of strict training with his mentor Jiraiya, Naruto finds himself back in Hidden Leaf Village reunited with all his old friends only to find that the mysterious Akatsuki organization has become a much larger threat to Hidden Leaf Village. Take control of an older and more powerful Naruto as he takes on a new quest to rescue his rival Sasuke from the evil Lord Orochimaru and battle the ever-looming Akatsuki.Ē

Does this mena, *gasp*, that this Naruto game might actually be different from the 100s of other Naruto games? Thatís a possibility folks. New characters, new story mode, new battle modes and more fighting moves than a Jet Li flick are featured in this upcoming title, exclusively for the PS2. For those of you who enjoyed all the one-on-one, two-player battles from previous Naruto games, donít fret because itís still intact, along with new unlockable items for Free Battle mode.

Ultimate Ninja 4: Naruto Shippuden is due out on March 24th. You can check out the Official Website for a full rundown on the gameís features and details.
