Puzzle-platformer Fez won't be an Xbox Live Arcade exclusive for much longer. Creator Phil Fish announced today that the game will be ported to other platforms in 2013.
2013 is going to be an interesting one, too," Fish said on the Polytron website. "For one, Fez will finally be ported to other platforms. Yes, i’ve heard you, dozens of people emailing me everyday telling me how much of an idiot i am for not porting Fez to everything."
Fish didn't mention what platforms they're considering. The PC seems like a logical home for an indie game, though. Maybe PS3 and Wii U owners will get lucky as well.
Fez ports are just one part of Polyton's 2013 plans. They also have "exciting plans" for the game's soundtrack. The Montreal-based studio may also open an office in the US, presumably to help develop a "couple of new games" that are being planned.
"But there’s also an ambition to do so much more," said Fish. "I want to design everything! Maybe not a videogame? Maybe something else entirely. I JUST DONT KNOW. And that’s exciting!"
Fez has been available through Xbox Live Arcade since April. It can be downloaded for $10 (800 MS Points).
