Today Epic Games confirmed that Gears of War: Judgment will have a pre-launch demo. This demo, featuring the new OverRun mode, will be given early to gamers who pre-order through GameStop.
OverRun mode is a class-based mode in which players take on the role of both COG and Locust troops. The two teams of five players compete in objective-based matches. The video tutorial made it look a bit like League of Legends.
PowerUp Rewards members who pre-order Judgment at GameStop will receive the demo on March 15th at 11:59 PT. If you pre-ordered through GameStop before today, you'll also get access. The early access period ends on March 18th at 11:59 PT. The demo will be available to all Xbox Live Gold members on the following day.
In addition to getting to play the game before anyone else, this early access period will give you a jump on the competition. All of the XP that you earn during these matches will carry over to the full version of the game. However, you need to buy and play Judgment in the first week after its launch to retain this XP.
GameStop will also give pre-order customers a "Young Marcus" skin for multiplayer, based on Marcus Fenix's pre-imprisonment appearance. The Lambent weapon skin will cover your weapon with glowing emulsion. All retailers will give pre-order customers the Classic Hammerburst.
Judgment will launch worldwide on March 19th.
