Metro: Last Light System Requirements Announced, Game Is Free With NVIDIA Cards

4A Games has announced the PC system requirements for their post-apocalyptic shooter Metro: Last Light. If you want to run the game at its highest settings, you'll need a very powerful rig.

Metro: Last Light continues the story of Metro 2033. Following a nuclear apocalypse, the few remaining human survivors now live in the metro tunnels beneath Moscow. Factions of survivors fight amongst each other while also fending off the mutants that live in the tunnels. These factions are now seeking for a doomsday weapon that could end the civil war altogether.

On its lowest settings, Last Light can run on a variety of systems. You can play it with a DirectX 9.0 compatible card and 2GB of RAM. It supports Windows XP and Vista in addition to 7 and 8.

If you're going to upgrade your system for Last Light, though, you have a chance to get the game for free. Select retailers will provide you with a download code for the game if you purchase an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 graphics card or above. The list of participating companies can be found at NVIDIA's website. These codes will expire on December 31st.

Metro: Last Light will launch worldwide in May on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
