GTA 5 Online Valentine's Day DLC Adds Jobs, Tommy Gun

GTA 5 Valentine's Day DLC

Update: The Valentine's Day has been released on both PS3 and Xbox 360. More details on the content and fixes in the update through the link.

Original article: Rockstar Games will be giving Grand Theft Auto Online a dose of the 1920's in the latest free update. The Valentine’s Day Massacre Special DLC will debut on the game this Friday.

The Valentine's Day update adds a Gusenberg Sweeper machine gun - essentially a Tommy gun - to all Ammu-Nation locations in GTA Online. The weapon will also be available in GTA 5's campaign. You'll find it in your character's inventory along with two clips of ammo.

The Albany Roosevelt, an armored limo, also looks like something out of the Roaring Twenties. You can purchase it in GTA Online through the legendarymotorsport.net website. The Roosevelt can also be found in any garage property in Story Mode.

Rockstar also added a bunch of fashion options to complete your Dick Tracy cosplay. The new outfits range from double-breasted suits to flapper dresses to masquerade masks. Female characters can get a Flapper Bob hairstyle at any barber shop.

These new items will only be available for a limited time, Rockstar says. However, once you get them, you'll have them for good. It's a way for Rockstar to encourage players to log back into GTA Online or GTA 5's campaign.

The Valentine’s Day Massacre Special brings 10 new Jobs to GTA Online as well. They don't conform to the 1920's theme, though, so you won't be raiding speakeasies or partying at Jay Gatsby's house. The new Jobs include a parachute jump, races, and deathmatches.

The developers promise that that there's a lot more DLC on the way through 2014, too.

"We will also have more information soon for other forthcoming GTA Online content updates including the Dangerous Business Pack, Online Heists, an expansion to the Creator tool and lots more," the team said on Rockstar Newswire.

All new content for GTA Online has been free so far. Rockstar makes their money through the sale of in-game cash. It's estimated that they could rake in $100 million per year through these microtransactions.

Rockstar is also planning to release the first DLC for GTA 5's campaign sometime this year. They've yet to provide any details about this new single-player content, though. All we know is that it stars Franklin, Trevor and Michael.
