Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Multiplayer Trailer Details Maps, Exo Skills, Modes

Activision is in full-on promo mode for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, releasing all sorts of info and media to prop up the game for release. The latest video is a multiplayer trailer featuring the maps, modes and exo-suit skills in the game.

It's funny, but watching the video made me realize just how similar this latest Call of Duty is to Titanfall, but even more than that I realized that Call of Duty actually looks more fun. I mean, it still plays on the hop-around parkour element that Titanfall relied on very heavily, but it does it in a way that I think is both intuitive and dynamic. It's not just another movement modifier, but it's utilized within play-fields that have been specifically crafted around the functionality of maneuverability.

The exo-suits in the game are allowed to exhibit the ability to double jump, dash jump, double dash, slide-dash and execute a jumping smash attack. There's a lot of variance in the way the suits can be used to get around the environment. The backward jump-dash is one of the more impressive maneuvers in the game and I actually enjoyed seeing how they executed that reverse Ferris-wheel shotgun blast. Impressive.

Outfitting your character now offers 13 slots for customizing your characters, weapons and your loadout. The 13 slots offer players ways to customize their weapons, outfit their accessories, equip armor and gear for their operator, as well as add killstreak perks to boost your score and abilities throughout the match, which can also affect the supply drop assets that can be accrued throughout play-time.

The game will also receive a brand new shooting range for target practice and offering players a way to test out their weapons before heading to the battlefield. What's more is that the target range is setup so you can get a feel for different weapons under slightly different conditions. It's not all just a static straight range like in previous games or other first-person shooters.

The revamped virtual lobby also allows players to check out the competition before heading into battle. You can scope out your opponent's gear, stats and perks so you know what you'll be facing down against in the actual match.

Advanced Warfare will launch with 12 total base modes and it sounds like they may expand on them later (most likely with premium DLC). One of the new modes is called Uplink, which his like a team-based version of football. The object is to get the satellite into the uplink at your opponent's base. It plays out a lot like the ball mode in Unreal Tournament, with players being able to toss the satellite around to mess up opponents or pass to teammates for a hail-Mary sprint.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is due out the first week of November for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC. Need more info? Feel free to visit the official website.
