Square Enix Has An Awesome Sale Going On Now

Multiple companies are running multiple bundle deals, discounts and sales on a wide variety of games, accessories and hardware. One of those companies getting in on the holiday action with some deep discounts is Square Enix, who has a Humble Bundle available for a variety of their games.

Over on the Humble Bundle page there's a Square Enix Bundle 3 available that allows gamers to instantly add a number of games to their Steam library for just $1. Yes, just $1.

So what do you get for just one buck? You get The Last Remnant, an older JRPG that came out during the early half of the seventh generation of gaming. The title had mediocre scores for the Xbox 360 and PS3 but was loved a lot more by the denizens of Steam, where it has a fairly high rating. For $1 you also get the first three Tomb Raider games, back when Lara was known for being no-nonsense and killing anything in sight with her shotgun and iconic dual pistols.

The $1 bundle doesn't end there, though. There's also Dontnod Entertainment's first episode of Life Is Strange, the teenage sci-fi drama. The last game to round out the $1 bundle is Murdered: Soul Suspect, which didn't quite win over critics but was definitely an interesting step away from the traditional third-person shooter. You definitely have to give the game props for trying something new.

If you pay just over $5.11 you'll unlock a series of other games, including Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, which is actually well worth it if you wanted a really good Final Fantasy RPG experience. The class setup and freedom of how to design your character makes it a game that can become a serious time-sink. The first two Just Cause games are also included in the $5 bundle, along with a 20% discount on Just Cause 3. There's also the really cool Front Mission Evolved for mecha fans. The last game in the bundle is Yosumin. The $5 bundle also has more games coming soon.

Last but not least is the $8.99 tier. Now anything you pay above $8.99 will grant you the aforementioned titles above along with the $8.99 tier games such as the 2013 reboot of Tomb Raider, the last Hitman game known as Hitman: Absolution, and Lara Croft & The Temple of Osiris.

I don't know if the $8.99 tier beats the $5.11 tier. Final Fantasy XIV alone is a game well worth the the $8.99 price all its own. With each expansion pack I have to admit that Square really puts a lot of time and care into expanding the game in a grand way.

If you haven't played the reboot of Tomb Raider but you have plans on getting Rise of the Tomb Raider, then it may not be a bad idea to get the game in the Humble Bundle. The same goes for the 2016 reboot of Hitman, if you need a little bit of an introduction into how the game plays and what the character of Agent 47 is like, you can get Hitman: Absolution in the Humble Bundle to get your feet wet on the franchise.

You can check out the games over on the Humble Bundle store.
