Some big news apparently has come out that indicates when The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild could be releasing, as well as when the Nintendo NX might be coming, too. All of it boils down to the accidental reveal of some new Amiibo figures.

Gamespot is reporting that over on the official Nintendo Europe website they accidentally leaked the release dates for the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Amiibo figurines. According to the website, which was spotted by some good folks over on Reddit, the Breath of the Wild Amiibo will be launching on March 4th, 2017 on a Saturday.

We were first introduced to these figurines back at E3 earlier in the summer during Nintendo's big event in Los Angeles, California. Nintendo even did a spotlight on the figurines in a special video showcase, where we were able to see all the intricate detail put into the Amiibo. They're obviously bound to be huge sellers for the company when they do become available next year. Of course, Gamespot notes that the release of Amiibo have always been after the game has been made available, or the same day that the game has been made available.

Typically, we know that most games launch in Europe on a Friday and launch in North America on a Tuesday. This means that if the Amiibo are launching on a Saturday in Europe, then possibly they're arriving a day after the launch of the game- which could end up being on a Friday, March 3rd, 2017.

Typically, North American games launch three days ahead of European games. So if we're going by that industry standard, then that would mean The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild could be launching on February 28th, 2017 in North America, which would put it on a Tuesday.

Gamespot was unsure if this would mean that the game is launching simultaneously for the Nintendo Wii U and the Nintendo NX, or if it's just launching for the Nintendo Wii U on that date. It's tricky business because Nintendo did say that the NX would be launching in March of 2017. Having the Amiibo figures launch on March 4th could mean that the NX might be launching day and date on March 4th -- which is not that odd of a date given that Gamespot did remind readers that the Wii U launched on a Sunday. Or it could be launching a day earlier on March 3rd, that Friday. It wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility to have a global launch date on a typically U.K. designated release date.

We at least know that the Amiibo have always arrived after the launch of a game. So it's nearly safe to assume that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be available either on March 4th or before March 4th.

The real question is if the game will launch in tandem for both the Wii U and Nintendo NX or if it will have a scattered release across various regions for the two platforms? While this news definitely narrows down the release date for the game, we still need full confirmation from Nintendo before getting too excited.
