Today Cyanide's first video game adaptation of the Song of Ice and Fire fantasy novel series was revealed. A Game of Thrones: Genesis is a real-time strategy game being developed for unknown platforms.

Genesis is centered on the power struggles between the prominent families of Westeros. To win the "game of thrones," you'll need economic prowess, military strength, and tactful diplomacy. It's got sort of a Shogun ring to it.

Cyanide has the exclusive rights to develop Song game adaptations for the PC and consoles. According to their website, they also intend to make a role-playing game.

It's not clear when this game will be released. All Cyanide's got to show off thus far are two pieces of concept art, though, so it might take awhile.
