The recently launched PC MMORPG Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures is occupying a lot of Funcom's time but don't think they're too busy to make the Xbox 360 version. They smashed rumors of the 360 version's cancellation today with a broadsword - or an enormous computer-generated boob, if you will.
Funcom confirmed to Eurogamer earlier today that the MMORPG will definitely come to Xbox 360. Said AoC Project Manager Erling Ellingsen: "There are no dates set, even though we aim for a 2009 release. Our big priority now is, of course, the PC version and fixing the issues with it and improving it for our current players." This fits with earlier estimates that the 360 iteration was about twelve months behind.
AoC sold about one million copies worldwide in the month or so after being released on PC this past May. In addition to the 360 port, Funcom is also working on the PC version's first expansion pack, though the only material released on it thus far was a piece of concept art. Could the expansion maybe ship with the 360 version? Lord knows it would be a lot less messy than trying to distribute it via Xbox Live.
