After a half-decade of development, it seems the release of Alan Wake is finally in sight. A new report suggests that it will be released in May.

MCV, citing "a source close to the game," reports that it will be released late in the month worldwide. They also report it will be advertised "in the style of a Hollywood movie." Makes sense - developer Remedy Entertainment is the outfit who made the first two Max Payne games. They had plans for a film adaptation from the outset with that franchise so I'd expect a similar mentality with Wake.

Note that they're only referring to the Xbox 360 release. The PC version of Alan Wake is currently on hold, with its ultimate fate still to be decided by Microsoft.
