THQ doesn't seem to mind adding on to the shovelware trend that the Wii is known for. They recently announced that a new, casual martial arts title called All Star Karate is in development, exclusively for the Nintendo Wii. The reason it’s exclusive is probably because Microsoft and Sony didn’t want it…but that’s just speculation.
Anyway, according to the press release…. In single-player, Career mode, players will execute and master various karate moves utilizing the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, or two Wii Remotes, in order to attain the seven different colored belts or achievement levels in karate, including the black belt.Gamers will take on the role of a karate-hungry student as they learn from a “cantankerous” old karate sensei. It’s just the typical mini-game affair that often floods the Wii’s library of games. And just like those typical mini-game titles, All Star Karate sports two-player challenge modes and an editor that allows players to put together their own Kata. All Star Karate is due out this spring, exclusively for the Wii. For more info be sure to visit the Official Website. You can check out a debut trailer for the game below.
