From the makers of Ghost Recon, comes the next-generation of modern military combat. America’s Army is the latest in first-person shooting games for the Xbox 360, and if the trailer is any indication, it’ll be a straight-through, tactical squad-based shooter for any gamer looking for an official Army stamp on their product.
As much as I would like to say the game looks cool, fun or amazing, the problem is that there’s a lot of in-game play they show that doesn’t really show a lot of gameplay. I’m not trying to pick this game apart from a debut trailer. But seriously, there’s a hundred thousand different shooter games and it takes more than a few categorical movie sequences put together in one trailer to make a game look good. We don’t see any enemies, we don’t see any of the physics on display, there’s no show of operable vehicles and we don’t get much teamwork on view.
Still, on the plus side, the trailer depicts some excellent sound quality, and the actual montage sequences are at least of high production qualities. I just wish we could have seen more of the non-Ghost Recon-esque gameplay. Still, enjoy the trailer below.
