published: 2009-05-18 17:38:53
JoWood Productions and Spellbound Entertainment announced that they are bringing their upcoming role-playing game, ArcaniA: A Gothic Tale, to current-gen consoles and PC. The highlight of the press release is that Spellbound is using Trinigy’s Vision Engine 7 to get the project off the ground and soaring.

“By licensing Trinigy’s Vision Engine 7, Spellbound is ideally equipped to head for a great gaming experience with “ArcaniA: A Gothic Tale”, explains Michael Kairat, Producer at JoWooD Productions. “The Vision Engine ensures a high level of game quality and first-class adaptions for current-generation console systems.”

The game is set to take on qualities of a triple-A title and is aimed at utilizing the Vision Engine 7 for high-end graphical presentation as well as providing gamers with an extremely dense RPG atmosphere. I don’t know how well that will all span out but it sure does sound like they’re on the right track.

“ArcaniA: A Gothic Tale is a fantastic and truly sophisticated production”, comments Armin Gessert, CEO Spellbound Entertainment in the recent press release. “Trinigy’s latest Vision Engine and the excellent cooperation with them provide an ideal technological foundation for a new cornerstone in the history of action role-playing games.”

Oh, it looks like Sega and tri-ace’s action-RPG, Resonance of Fate could to be butting heads with JoWood and Spellbound’s action-RPG, ArcaniA: A Gothic Tale. Unfortunately not much information has been released for the latter, but we’ll definitely keep you posted on any news and media that comes from JoWood regarding this new game.

You can learn more about ArcaniA: A Gothic Tale by visiting the Official Spellbound Website. Although, you’ll only be treated to some screenshots of the game and not much else. Nevertheless, be sure to stay tuned in with Blend Games for further news and updates regarding all things gaming.
