Army Of Two: The 40th Day, Playbook And Other Features Unveiled

published: 2009-04-21 15:24:13
EA has been keeping their lips smacked shut when it comes to the 2007 sequel of the mercenary co-op game, Army of Two. Recently, though, some select gaming journalists were invited to a private community event at the new and improved EA Montreal, which showcased the new Army of Two: The 40th Day game.

Andrew “TrackZero” Hodder from Co-Optimus laid out a very nice preview for the late-2009 action title coming out of the EA Montreal studios. The two-page article gives a rundown on some of the new content featured in the game, including the new “Playbook” mechanic that offers gamers some more tactical measures for plotting out strategic attacks and fairly in-depth battle plans.

There’s also some new co-op features being added, though they weren’t readily disclosed in the article. The AI, however, has been tweaked to provide a more diverse and varied gameplay experience, offering gamers greater ways to tackle a situation instead resulting in the typical face-to-face firefight.

For those of you who think story and character development is important, there’s no need to worry. The team is hard at work in tying in more “moral” factors into the game, as well as a deeper sub-plot concerning the two lead characters, Rios and Salem.

You can check out the full preview of Army of Two: The 40th day at Co-Optimus. For more gaming news, information, insight and updates, be sure to stay tuned in with Blend Games.
