Assassin's Creed 2 will arrive by the holidays for the PS3 and Xbox 360. However, it seems the PC version won't arrive until next year.

"Assassin’s Creed 2 PC has moved to the first quarter of 2010. A bit more time for the dev team to deliver the best quality game to you," Ubisoft announced via Twitter early this morning. In a later tweet, they confirmed that the console versions are still set to arrive on November 17th in the US and on November 19-20 in Europe.

Ubisoft stated in the past that they'll be releasing downloadable content for AC2. Maybe some of that new content will ship with the PC version? Best silver lining I can find, sorry.
