Not long after sending out an official announcement of Assassin's Creed 2, Ubisoft has released a second teaser trailer. It may be a teaser but this one's a little more illuminating than the first.

Unfortunately, there's no gameplay footage. Like the teaser that debuted on the Assassin's Creed 2 website, it's a series of pictures of Da Vinci-style diagrams accompanied by creepy voiceover. It confirms what was already revealed: the game's set in Italy during the Renaissance. There's plenty of little details strewn about the video for fans to speculate over, too.

Assassin's Creed 2 will be released for "all current-generation platforms" during the 2009 holiday season.
