If you have the guts, the brains and the director’s eye for bringing the Venetian landscape and vibrant characters from Assassin’s Creed II to life in a live-action short film, then you could be on the receiving end of $10,000 and free PlayStation 3.

According to the press release, horror film director and judge in the short film contest, Ti West, commented saying…

“This contest challenges aspiring film artists in a really unique way, giving them a great opportunity to develop their individual creative methods and showcase their work to a national audience,” ... “Challenges like this give filmmakers a rich, creative opportunity to improve their skills.”

The contest is sponsored in part by IFC’s Media Lab for indie film making, etc., etc. One grand prize winner will be named and two second place winners will also be announced. The theme rules for the contest are as follow:
 Assassin/Assassination
 Revenge
 Hidden blade/hidden weapon
 Italy/Italian Renaissance
 Unique gadgets/tools
 Family
 Conspiracy

Seems simple enough, eh?
