Assassin's Creed II Video Dev Diary: These Roads Lead To

published: 2009-09-17 13:00:53
A new developer documentary for Assassin’s Creed II has emerged and this time it’s about the variety of the game’s open-ended gameplay structure. The team further discusses how choices affect change and how the expanded freedom in the game is coupled in with more choices. Nice.

Everything wrong with the last Assassin’s Creed game has been the prime focus for the developer’s to fix, patch-up and alter in the upcoming sequel. So what does this mean? Well, it doesn’t mean that Resident Evil switch puzzles are scattered throughout the game for every five-minutes of play. Instead, the devs have focused on streamlining the experience with as much variety as possible.

Even when players aren’t on missions there are random scripted sequences that may take place to involve the player in a mini-side mission of sorts. Some of these include chasing down a messenger, thwarting a pick-pocketer or carrying out an on-the-fly hit mission. Definitely a lot of improvements have been made to the game and the interactive cinematic sequences sound like they could be kind of fun.

You can check out the new dev diary below or visit the Official Website for more information on Assassin’s Creed II. The game is due out on November 17th for the Xbox 360 and PS3. For more gaming news, updates, info and media be sure to stay tuned in with Blend Games.
