Tonight Ubisoft released the first chapter of their live-action short film Assassin's Creed: Lineage. Lineage serves as a prequel to the upcoming Assassin's Creed II.

Giovanni Auditore, an Assassin, is investigating the murder of the Duke of Milan. In the course of his investigation, he discovers a massive conspiracy that implicates the Vatican and many of Italy's most powerful family. He also stabs lots of people.

The first part, over fourteen minutes long, can be seen below. Assassin's Creed II arrives on November 17th for the PS3 and 360. The PC version's due early next year.
