Avatar The Game: Blockbuster Action Dev Doc Released

published: 2009-11-27 09:26:08
A new developer documentary has surfaced for Ubisoft’s licensed game rendition of James Cameron’s Avatar. The documentary explores the game’s supposed “blockbuster” movie-style action that will encompass the player from start to finish.

While the concept of action taking place all-around the player and having these intense moments perpetually fuel the momentum of the game sounds good in this video documentary, it doesn’t really seem to show in the game. So far, gamers have been on the receiving end of video footage that makes Avatar: The Game look more a Lost Planet 2 rip-off.

Nevertheless, Blend Games’ own Pete Haas feels Avatar needs to be given a chance. So maybe it’s not quite as mundane as it appears to be in all of the trailers.

You can check out the new trailer below, as seen on Gametrailers, or visit the Official Website for more information on James Cameron’s Avatar: The Game.
