505 Games and NaturalMotion announced today that the sequel to the hard hitting, physics-based football game from 2009 will be arriving for both the Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network this summer. The game will even feature a brand new mini-game called Tackle Alley to compliment the hard-hitting, arcade-style action that was originally featured in Backbreaker.

Torsten Reil, CEO of NaturalMotion commented in the press release, saying…

The original Backbreaker has racked up more than six million sales worldwide since its release back in 2009, and there’s no telling just how many more copies NaturalMotion and 505 can pump out with the sequel.
