Microsoft’s Chief Executive Officer, Steve Ballmer, dropped some stats at the 2010 CES during Microsfot's keynote conference, regarding Xbox Live and the Xbox 360, and the results might surprise some gamers.

According to Ballmer, the Xbox brand has had more than 500 million software sales since its launch and has garnered more than $20 billion in games revenue alone. Shocking? Definitely. Those are some big numbers.

Ballmer also mentioned that the Xbox 360 has an installed base of 39 million units sitting in homes the world around.

If you check VGChartz, it shows the Xbox 360 at only 36 million units sold which is about three million off from Ballmer’s stats. So which one do you think is more accurate?
