Eidos have let loose a nice little barrage of villain-filled screenshots for the upcoming game based on the Dark Knight, Batman: Arkham Asylum. So long as the gameplay can hold up alongside the interesting story and the voice talent, then this could be the best Batman game in ages.
With Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill stepping back into the shoes of Batman and The Joker, there's at least going to be some familiarity between the characters for fans of the animated cartoon. Add in an original story penned by five-time Emmy award winner, Paul Dini, and you're looking at a possible award-winning game.
The following screenshots look spot-on amazing. And in all honesty, I think I can safely say that I can't wait to play this game. I can't spot any clipping issues between the models, despite Batman's proximity to the bad guys, and the lighting and texture work are simply amazing. Wow, I really have to tip my hat off to Rocksteady Studios for their visual interpretation of the Batman universe.
