Batman, Superman and Maxwell Team Up In Scribblenauts Unmasked
Today Warner Bros. confirmed reports of a DC Comics-inspired Scribblenauts game. Scribblenauts Unmasked, slated for fall release, sees Maxwell joining forces with Justice League members like Batman and Superman.
Maxell and his super-powered friends will go toe-to-toe with several DC villains. The Joker, Bane, and Lex Luthor are some of the bad guys visible in the first images. The levels are set in iconic locations like Metropolis, Wayne Manor and Oa.
Unmasked follows the established Scribblenauts formula. Players will write out the name of an object, person or animal in order to summon it. They'll then use that item to solve the level's objectives. To give a real dumbed-down example: to defeat the Riddler, you could summon a whale and drop it on his head.
The game puts a twist on the usual action with Heroic Feats. These Feats are dynamically generated puzzles inserted into levels. The idea behind this feature is that they make a level different with each visit. 5th Cell hopes that will make the game more replayable.
Unmasked will hit the Wii U, PC and 3DS. The Wii U and PC versions will sport a Super Hero Creator. Players will be able to develop their own hero or villain with custom equipment, powers and behavior. They can then share these characters online.
