Battle of Atlantis creator Play Ten Interactive really seem to be pushing forward in convincing gamers that BoA is a real game to be taken very seriously. In their press release a while back, they discussed that they had new ideas to move the real-time strategy genre forward and do some new things that gamers haven't seen a dozen times over with every other RTS out there. Hence, BoA features huge monster battles, real-time water effects, and even some physics-based gameplay. Sounds fairly interesting.
If I must say so myself, graphically, the game doesn't look half bad. There's actually some pretty cool visual effects in Battle of Atlantis, many of which can be seen in the screenshots below.
