SouthPeak Games released a gameplay montage video of the upcoming Battle Vs Chess for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The new trailer is a fast snippet of battle sequences and romp-stomping gameplay featuring chess pieces blasting each other to smithereens.

The game is yet another retake on that lovable old PC game, Battle Chess, with its 16 colors (not 16-bit mind you) and bloody-gory combat. The new game from SouthPeak looks like a step-above something you might find on the Xbox Live Arcade or PSN and that’s why it’s priced slightly higher than the standard stuff you see on the sub-services from Microsoft or Sony.
