Eidos and Warner Bros. Interactive are gearing up for the upcoming release of BattleStations: Pacific for the Xbox 360 and PC. Even though gamers will still have to wait for spring to bounce into season before getting their hands on this sequel, you don’t have to wait any longer than it takes the web page to load to see the new screenshots.
The game – for those of you who don’t know – is a real-time strategy simulator set during the World War II era. BS: Pacific features massive battles that span the likes of land, sea (under the sea) and the air. Two campaigns are available that can be tackled from the Allied side or from a completely original story involving the Japanese forces. BattleStations: Pacific is an extremely detailed game that marks a milestone in historic RTS console games.
As you’ll see in the following high-resolution screenshots, the game houses some impeccable vehicular and environmental detail. Not to spew pointless hyperbole all over this game, but some of the shots look like rendered stills, honestly. In fact, compared to Halo Wars, BattleStations: Pacific royally kicks the graphical crap out of Ensemble Studios' swan song.
You can check out the screenshots below, or drop by the Official BattleStations: Pacific Website for more information. And be sure to stay tuned in with Blend Games for further news and updates on all things gaming.
