MetaTix sent out word that bug squashers, exterminators and hunters across the galaxy can celebrate the holidays with BattleSwarm: Field of Honor; the game will be holding daily events leading up to the new year.

According to the newsletter…

Battleswarm will be celebrating the New Year by throwing a new event every day during this Christmas holiday (from Christmas Eve to New Year's weekend). Events will be announced in the Battleswarm forum - Check the community daily for new developments.

BattleSwarm: Field of Honor is a RTS vs FPS MMO that also happens to be free-to-play. The game mixes in a frantic gameplay pace with a control scheme similar to Gears of War where a battlefield littered with giant bugs try to overrun the player-controlled bases. The neat part about it is that other players are in control of the bugs and must defeat the human-controlled soldiers.
