Battlefield 1943 is coming to PSN and Xbox Live this summer and to the PC in September. While there won't be a public beta, there will be another way for you to try before you spend $15 on the full version.
"No beta, but we have a trial version that lets you confirm what you already thought - that this game is the best USD 15 I will ever spend!" said producer Gordon Van Dyke in a live chat with Eurogamer readers. I get the feeling he's not actually going to have to pay for his copy but whatev. Point is, there's gonna be a demo.
BF 1943 is essentially a stripped down, downloadable remake of Battlefield 1942. There's three playable classes and three maps - well, four maps, if you kill enough people.
