If you've never played BioShock before, now's your chance to get caught up on the series. Today 2K Games released the BioShock Ultimate Rapture Edition to stores through North America for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

The Ultimate Rapture Edition includes BioShock and BioShock 2. In each game, players will explore the ruined underwater city of Rapture. The once-proud utopia is now a war zone. Players will fight off the former residents using plasmids and a variety of weapons. The second game introduced a team-based multiplayer in which players battle for control of the city.

The bundle also contains all of the downloadable content for each game. For BioShock, this means standalone challenge rooms as well as new upgrades. BioShock 2's DLC offering was more robust, including new multiplayer content and an additional single-player campaign.

If you're interested in the game's development, you can visit the Museum of Orphaned Concepts. In this virtual museum, you'll find concept art, character models and more. Maybe we'll get a peek at BioShock Infinite too?

BioShock Ultimate Rapture Edition is priced at $29.99.
