Bioshock Officially EGM's Game Of The Year

Bioshock, the game that stormed the 360 and made you believe in first person adventures again, has officially been deemed the greatest game of last year by EGM, undoubtedly the most important gaming magazine in the country.

The game all but swept all the major categories, including, Best Audio Design, Best Narrative, Best Art Direction, and even, person of the year, with Ken Levine, creative director of 2K Boston, the company responsible for the game.

This comes as a massive, massive shock to me, as I was almost certain that Super Mario Galaxy was going to come out on top, as it was, in my opinion, the best game of the year, by far. The game did manage to snag the Best Level Design category, but still. The game deserves much more than that. Much more.

Seriously, though, I’m just glad that that stinky waste of time, Halo 3 didn’t score any wins. Finally, some sense in all this wishy washy voting junk.

You can find all the wins in the latest issue of EGM—the one with the giant, shiny PS3 on the cover.
