BlizzCon is a time to celebrate the works of Blizzard Entertainment but there's one piece of bad news amidst all the festivities: Diablo III won't arrive by next year.

Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime told BlizzCon Live hosts Geoff Keighley and Kat Hunter in an interview that he doesn't expect Diablo III to arrive by next year. Earlier this month, he stated that he expects a second Blizzard game to be released alongside StarCraft II in 2010. Apparently, the second 2010 release will be World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.

Hard to believe that Diablo III is that far away. It feels like we already know a ton about it. Earlier today Blizzard released information on the Monk, the fourth of five player classes in the game. What else are they going to have left to tell us about the game next year?
