Bogus Batman Rumors Buried; Still Set For Summer ReleaseAuthor: William Usher

We just received an e-mail from the PR firm representing Eidos regarding rumors started by a certain site regarding Batman: Arkham Asylum being moved to a pre-holiday release. It’s a bogus rumor and it has just been buried, keep reading to find out why.
According to Craig Sinel, the Account Director for the PR firm that represents Eidos sent over a statement regarding the release for the upcoming game, stating, “Eidos Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment can today confirm that Batman: Arkham Asylum will be released at the end of summer 2009. This additional time will allow us to ensure Batman: Arkham Asylum is of the highest quality for gamers.” So yeah, no holiday releases. I never bothered to read through how that rumor even came about but it’s been buried by Eidos and Warner Bros. Interactive effective immediately. This does, however, confirm that the game has been delayed from its expected June release given that it’s now an end-of-summer release. It’s still summer.
