The Book Of Unwritten Tales Now Available On Steam

The colorful and masterfully artistic adventure game for PC, The Book of Unwritten Tales, has recently launched on PC and it's currently available at a discounted entry price on Steam for only $17.99, enabling gamers to experience some old-school point-and-click adventuring with new-school visual aesthetics and graphical effects.

The game sports a multi-character story arc that pays homage to the classical puzzle-adventure titles made popular within the PC community thanks to age-old classics such as Sierra's Golden-Era line-up of King's Quest, Quest for Glory and Space Quest, as well as other key titles such as The Return To Zork and Westwood Studios' beautifully designed and adventure-rich series, The Legend of Kyrandia (take note that Westwood is one of the many casualties under the Imperial Force of EA).

Anyway, The Book of Unwritten Tales hearkens back to light-hearted comedy with touch of danger and plenty of visually stimulating environments to keep the adventure fresh.

There's more than 20 hours of gameplay jam-packed into the title as well as 150 different puzzles to solve, so it clocks in at an average of what you would expect from an adventure title of this sort. I doubt this will reinvigorate the genre but for gamers looking for an updated piece of nostalgia, The Book of Unwritten Tales seems to hit the spot.
