Electronic Arts announced today that Boom Blox Bash Party is on its way to retailers throughout North America. The Steven Spielberg-designed puzzle game will arrive in Europe on May 28th.
"The original BOOM BLOX really came from a need to bring families back into the same space playing games together,” said Spielberg in the press release. “We had so many more creative ideas that we wanted to put into the sequel, and BOOM BLOX Bash Party really takes the original concept to a whole new level of interactive family gaming.”
Bash Party contains twice as many multiplayer challenges (co-op, versus, team-based) as its 2008 predecessor BOOM BLOX and more than 400 levels in total. Players can create their own levels and share them online. To kick off the content-sharing, EA created 40 new levels and you can download them free as soon as you bring the game home. EA will continue to develop and release new levels in the future.
