Borderlands 2 Screenshots Travel Across Pandora

With days until Borderlands 2's release, 2K Games has sent out another four screenshots. The shots reintroduce the four characters at the heart of the game and also show off the diverse parts of Pandora you'll travel to.

At launch, players will be able to choose from a diverse group of characters. Salvador is a "gunzerker" capable of wielding two guns at once. Maya, a siren, can unleash magical abilities on enemies. Stealthy players can use Zer0, a ninja capable of vanishing and creating decoys of himself. Rounding out the cast is Axton, a commando who can lay down turrets.

One criticism of the first Borderlands was that the environments all looked pretty much the same. Gearbox took this advice to heart with Borderlands 2. The screenshots here show frozen tundra, a city and a toxic cave.

Borderlands 2 will launch on September 18th in North America, and arrive in Europe three days later.
