Gamers unfamiliar with Ezio or Altair will have a strong reason to get acquainted this weekend. Digital distributor Impulse is offering a "buy one, get one free" sale on the Assassin's Creed series.

If you purchase Assassin's Creed II this weekend, you'll be able to download AC1 for no charge. The latter normally costs $19.99 so that's some nice savings right, there. Playing both games in order will make the confusing story slightly less so, too.
