Call Of Duty 2013, Call of Duty Online Confirmed By Activision

Activision has confirmed in a conference call today that Call of Duty will release in 2013. That's right, the company will release a Call of Duty game in 2013. The news has been officially confirmed and guess what? Gamers gave zero f**ks about the news because guess what? They already knew.

Anyone who follows gaming news regularly yawned at the announcement of Activision's confirmation for a new Call of Duty game. DSO Gaming grabbed the confirmation during a keynote conference call to investors, in which Activision also has plans for a Call of Duty Online, but I'm convinced that too is old news...wait...wait...yup, here's an old article from 2009 talking about Call of Duty Online.

Anyway, the keynote also pointed to additional and continued content rollouts for Diablo III and a new expansion pack for World of Warcraft. You know how many f**ks were given still? For World of Warcraft, a few. For Diablo III? Only one. It was Jay Wilson.

Anyway, no details were given for Call of Duty 2013 other than that it's going to be Call of Duty, but you will shoot guns; there will be multiplayer; there will be glitches galore at launch; PS3 gamers will get shafted like original ideas get shafted in Hollywood; there will be enough DLC that will make Activision enough money to finally buy Donald Trump a toupee that doesn't look like it was made from the stringy, stitched-together hairs from a Pomeranian's testicles. And the game will hit the $1 billion mark fast enough to prompt Bobby Kotick to call up James Cameron and say "Who got the dollar bills now, mofo? Who got the dollar bills now?!"

I'm sure we'll have more details on the next Call of Duty leading up to (and possibly through) E3 and unless this game will be made for next-gen consoles expect more of the same that you've been seeing, hearing and playing since 2007. Here's hoping Activision and the ghost-in-the-shells at Infinity Ward prove us all wrong and it's not just the long-rumored Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 we've been hearing about.
