Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 Launch Trailer Shows The Future Of Warfare

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's launch trailer has arrived a bit earlier than expected. The near-future shooter is still weeks from launch but you can check out its 60-second release video starting today.

Black Ops 2's campaign bounces between the Cold War and the year 2025. Players will control Alex Mason as he fights in various hotspots throughout the world during the 1970's and 80's. In the process, you'll encounter a narco-terrorist named Raul Menendez.

The 2025 storyline, meanwhile, stars Alex's son David. China and the United States are on the verge of a war. Quickly David learns that this conflict has been engineered by Menendez. He'll embark on his own global journey to prevent this war from coming to fruition.

The campaign will no doubt be overshadowed by the zombie co-op and ever-popular competitive multiplayer modes. However, the story for this game sounds just crazy enough to be memorable. Hopefully it's the good kind of crazy.
