Activision announced today that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized is currently in development at n-Space. Mobilized will be released exclusively for the DS and acts as a "companion narrative" to the upcoming PS3/PC/Xbox 360 shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

In addition to a single-player campaign, Mobilized will also support multiplayer matches for up to six players. Perhaps as a nod to the popularity of Call of Duty: World at War's zombie co-op mode, the game will also feature a Survival mode in which players must defend against waves of enemies. Should you wish to replay Mobilized's campaign, the game offers an Arcade mode that adds a time limit and scoreboard.

Mobilized will be released alongside Modern Warfare 2 on November 10th. No mention of whether the game will get a batshit collector's edition.
