After SEGA is done taking notes on how to bring back a classic franchise, perhaps the next step would be to see how to upgrade and revitalize one. While Street Fighter IV is the next game in the series it looks and feels like an upgraded Street Fighter II. Imagine that game with today’s graphics and the fighting game developments that have come along over the years and that’s what SF IV is shaping up to be.
For me there’s nothing better than turning on a fighting game and seeing the 8 World Warriors as your top picks. That seals the deal for me. I’ve just never gotten into the extraneous characters that have come along in later games. Crimson Viper, Abel and El Fuerte look interesting but I doubt I’ll spend much time with them. Instead I’ll be frustrating my friends as I unleash multiple sonic booms. There’s a reason I’ve been walking around randomly blurting “Yoga flame!” I am pumped for more Street Fighter action this year. Get ready to fight for your life when Street Fighter IV releases this fall on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. |
