CastleVania: Portrait Of Ruin Available For The DSAuthor: William Usher
published: 2006-12-06 00:00:00
It’s shipped and almost on store shelves in North America. The wait is nearly over for the second DS rendition of CastleVania. Featuring two-player wi-fi and a new single-player story that allows players to freely switch between the two main characters, CastleVania: Portrait of Ruin can finally be grabbed by CastleVania fans everywhere.
The series has come a long way and will probably keep on going long after this generation of handhelds and consoles. CastleVania seems to rarely fail at capturing the attention of gamers, despite the sometimes horrid games that have come out of Konami’s publishing hole (i.e., namely the ones on the N64 and PSOne). Portrait of Ruin, though, offers gamers the classic side-scrolling gameplay of old. Enhanced visuals and a new gameplay scheme for playing multiple characters has been brought to the table in order to inflame an invigorating appeal to the series. CastleVania: Portrait of Ruin is currently headed to store shelves for the Nintendo DS, and retails for the suggested price of $34.95.
